Madhya Pradesh retains #8 in SKOCH State of Governance 2022

Highlights

• Madhya Pradesh ranks #8 nationally in the SKOCH State of Governance Report 2022.
• Total of 43 well-performing projects qualified for SKOCH Order-of-Merit, out of which 3 were highly impactful and 9 were impactful projects.
• State performed very well in 18 categories.
  1. Has shown maximum improvement in Ease-of-Doing Business, Municipal Governance, Police & Safety & Social Justice & Security.
  2. Participating for the first time in labor, Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Horticulture, Housing, Revenue and Forest and entered in the top 10 nationally.
  3. Recovered in General Administration, Power & Energy, Agriculture and eGovernence.
• Municipal Governance, e-Governance and District Governance have submitted a larger number of projects for evaluation. Out of these, several well-performing projects were qualified as highly impactful and impactful projects.
• Key achievements
  1. Madhya Pradesh bagged 43 SKOCH Orders-of-Merit in the SKOCH State of Governance Awards 2022.
  2. Almost half of these are in e-Governance, Municipal Governance and District Governance.
  3. Three SKOCH Orders-of-Merit were in Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Ease of Doing Business, Forest and General Administration each.
  4. The state won two SKOCH Orders-of-Merit in Power & Energy and Health each.
  5. The state won 12 awards – three in GOLD and nine in SILVER category.
