Uttarakhand has ranked #21 in the SKOCH State of Governance 2021 report card. The Top 5 states are classified as ‘Star’ states. The next 5 states are classified as ‘Performer’ states. The next five states are catalogued as the ‘Catching Up’ category. The remaining states are then identified as ‘Others’. Uttarakhand is classified in the ‘Others’ section.
Uttarakhand has had a varying performance track record over the last few years. The state went unranked in the year 2018. In 2019, the state entered the ranking list at the #21 spot. This performance was improved upon the next year with a #13 rank in 2020. However, in 2021, the state has fallen back to the #21 spot.
