Key Achievements

Dibrugarh District Administration has launched a programme called “Lakshya” for improving the quality of education. “Lakshya” provides a platform to assess the development of students in the field of education by analysing their performances in categories like science, mathematics and languages. Through this programme, the Administration is able to know whether the current system of schools is working well or not or what more initiatives have to be taken for betterment of the system. This is envisaged as a platform for facilitating students to plan their career through counselling, improving overall quality of education and to increase classroom attendance of students of secondary and higher secondary government schools.

Regular monitoring of student and teacher attendance is done through Mobile App developed by NIC. For regular monitoring of the progress of the students, exams are conducted through a portal and Mobile App every month.

Guwahati Municipal Corporation has set up AC bus shelter at Khanapara, the first of its kind initiative in North East India. It has been developed on PPP mode with 100 per cent investment borne by the private partner. The project has benefited not only the dwellers of Guwahati but also the long distance travellers moving to and fro from the districts of Upper Assam like Nagaon, Jorhat, Tezpur, North Lakhimpur, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh and Digboi.
