Highlights

• Karnataka ranks #8 nationally in the SKOCH State of Governance Report 2023.
• A Total of 31 well-performing projects qualified for Deeper Study, out of which 2 were highly impactful and 10 were impactful projects.
• State performed very well in 14 categories.

  2. Has shown maximum improvement in Agriculture, e-Governance, and Power & Energy categories.
  3. Consistent in performance in the Rural Development category.
  4. Participating for the first time in Culture and Geology & Mining categories and entered in the top 10 nationally.
  5. Recovers in Infrastructure, Education and Finance categories.
• Transport, Revenue and Agriculture submit a larger number of projects for evaluation. Out of these, several well-performing projects are qualified as highly impactful and impactful projects.
• Key achievements
  1. Karnataka bags 31 SKOCH Orders-of-Merit in the SKOCH State of Governance Awards 2023.
  2. Almost half of these are in the Agriculture, Transport and Revenue categories.
  3. Three SKOCH Orders-of-Merit were in the District Governance category nationally.
  4. Minority Affairs and e-Governance wins 2 Orders-of-Merit respectively.
  5. The state won 12 awards – two in GOLD and ten in the SILVER category.
