Maheshwari Logistics—a coal and bulk cargo through road transportation logistics company—owns and operates a fleet of more than 100 lorries and trailers. This is in addition to another 5,000 trucks from third party vendors attached to it on a regular basis. During 2018-19, the company transported over 30 lakh tonnes of coal. Given its timely delivery, efficient handling and safe operations, it has become a preferred logistics partner for almost all cement companies in Gujarat and Rajasthan for transporting coal to their plants.

Its clients include Ambuja Cement, J K Cement, ACC, Ultratech Cement, Shree Cement, ESSAR, Nirma, Best Paper Mills and so on.

Incorporated in 2006, it was listed on NSE Emerge – SME exchange of NSE – in 2017 and unlocked it value. The initial public offer of Maheshwari Logistics garnered a whopping subscription of R123 crore—oversubscribed 4.53 times—making it the second highest share sale of an SME. It generated a turnover of R4,600 lakh sale of manufactured products and its share price has seen only upward movement.

While it is focused on customer satisfaction, it cares for its employees too. There is constant focus on training and re-skilling of its workforce. It routinely conducts workshops on road safety and ensures better working environment for its drivers. At some locations, there is even provision for the drivers to stay with quality food. It has implemented central MIS and accounting system to connect all of its 20 offices countrywide. Given its employee friendly policies, the company witnesses minimum attrition.

Adoption of modern technologies has enabled Maheshwari Logistics to improve its service quality. The entire fleet movement is monitored on a real-time basis and all possible bottlenecks in orders and delivery are pre-empted to ensure smooth operations and safe delivery of goods.
